The opinion retrieval system is an indexed system which contains most of the District of New Mexico court opinions since 1991. It is the Judge's discretion whether or not an opinion is saved in the opinion database so there is no guarantee that the system is complete. Therefore, it should be used only as a supplement to other research.

The advantage of using the Opinions system is that there are unpublished opinions available in the database which cannot be accessed in Lexis or WestLaw.
