Please note that registration emails for classes are processed according to when they were received. While we strive to keep the website as up to date as possible, there are times when discrepancies may exist between what is posted and what is actually available. If you have selected a class that is full, you will be notified via the same email address used for submission and asked to select another class. We will NOT be maintaining a waiting list, however, you may wish to call late in the afternoon the day before or early morning of a scheduled class to check for available slots due to last-minute cancellations. 348-2075 |
General Information:
The following is a list of the currently scheduled hands-on CM/ECF training.
Please be aware that the schedules are subject to change and registration is on
a first-come-first-serve basis. There is NO fee for the class. Classes
are open to attorneys and their staff. To register for a class please click on
the class link below for the session you wish to attend. Please include the
following information for EACH participant you wish to register (you may
include multiple people per submission):
· Name of participant (First and Last)
· Bar ID (if applicable)
· Phone Number
· Email Address (confirmation and information about class will be sent to this email address)
Class Schedule: (Classes with
registrants totaling less than half of the total slots available may be subject
to cancellation.)

Class Information: [CLE Credit: 3.5 Hours]
This class is designed for attorneys and their staff
that are new to electronic filing. Topics covered include, but are not limited
to:
· Overview of CM/ECF; explanation of mandatory e-filing, rule 5 notice consent, receiving filings via e-mail notification, “one-look” provision, PACER fee structure and billing.
· Accessing court web site via the Internet; reason for, and how to obtain, PACER and CM/ECF accounts and logins; review of hardware and software requirements.
· Preparing documents in proper PDF format for electronic filing; software requirements.
· E-filing a pleading; explain different event options; e-filing an attachment.
· Maintaining your account; password creation; setting up primary and secondary e-mail addresses; receipt of summary vs. individual notices
· Explanation of rules for electronic signatures, noticing requirements, retention of original documents, new administrative orders & local rules, text-only entries
