Request Waiver of Chapter 7 Filing Fee When E-filing Petition
Pay Accrued Filing Fees First
We recommend that you pay all accrued fees in CM-ECF before you file a case for which you will be requesting a waiver (this is to help you avoid inadvertent payment of the waived fee or automatic deactivation of your CM-ECF account). Refer to the Online Credit Card Payments manual for more information.
If you need assistance, please call the Clerk’s Office at 505-348-2500 or toll free (866) 291-6805, option 3, and ask for the CM-ECF specialist.
Use Local Form
We require use of our local form, NM OF 3B, Application for Waiver of the Chapter 7 Filing Fee for Individuals, instead of Official Form B3B. NM OF 3B is available in pdf, WordPerfect, and MS WORD formats on our Forms for Attorneys web page.
