Important Notice About Information in the Clerk's Practice & Procedure Guide

You should be aware that the October 1996 edition of the Clerk's Practice & Procedure
Guide is out-of-date, specifically  regarding mandatory electronic filing by attorneys, the Bankruptcy
Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act, and the Court's use of CM-ECF for electronic filing
and PACER for access to case records. 

Updated information is available on the Court's website at www.nmcourt.fed.us/usbc.

Although many aspects of the Guide are outdated, many still remain effective, and thus we
continue to make it available for your reference.  Much information that is explanatory in nature or
which was not changed by BAPCPA is still current.   If you have a question about the currency of
specific information in the Guide, please contact the Clerk's Office at 505-348-2500.

  Updating the Clerk's Practice and Procedure Guide continues to be on our project list.  We
  will publish information about the update process as it becomes available.  As always, we
continue to solicit your input for improvements to the Guide.  Please pass your suggestions on to our
