Admission Pro Hac Vice

Admission to Federal Bar, District of New Mexico

Local Rule 2091-1 Attorneys

  1. Admission to Practice.
    Admission to practice before a bankruptcy judge is governed by the local rules of the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico except as provided in paragraph (b) below.

  2. Non-resident Attorneys.
    All attorneys residing outside the District who are members in good standing of the bar of any state may participate in a particular case or proceeding before this court without the association of a resident member of the bar of this court, provided, however, that in any case or proceeding in which the court deems it necessary for the purpose of appearance, or ready availability, or otherwise in the interest of expediting disposition of the case or proceeding, the court may require non- resident counsel to associate a resident member of the bar of this court. A non-resident attorney shall file a motion to be admitted pro hac vice, which shall contain the statement that the attorney has read and is familiar with these rules.

  3. Temporary Waiver of Membership.
    An attorney who is eligible for membership in the bar of the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico and who has applied but who has not yet been admitted, may, with leave of court, appear and plead in specific cases.
